As part of its continued expansion strategy in Asia, the company is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to support its growth across Greater China.
Our client is a leading international hospitality group with a strong global presence across luxury, upscale and lifestyle hotel brands. As part of its continued expansion strategy in Asia, the company is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to support its growth across Greater China.
Position Summary
The Business Development Director will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and securing new hotel management, franchise and branded residence opportunities across China. The role will focus on building relationships with hotel owners, developers, investors and key industry stakeholders to drive the company's long-term expansion objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the company's development strategy across Greater China.
* Identify new hotel, resort, mixed-use and branded residential development opportunities.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, developers, investment groups, asset managers and government stakeholders.
* Lead negotiations and support the execution of hotel management agreements, franchise agreements and strategic partnerships.
* Conduct market analysis, project evaluation and financial feasibility assessments.
* Prepare development proposals, business cases and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
* Coordinate closely with operations, finance, technical services, legal and brand teams throughout the deal process.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities within the hospitality sector.
* Represent the company at industry events, conferences and owner meetings.
Candidate Profile
* Bachelor's degree or above in Hospitality, Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
* Minimum 8 years of experience in hospitality development, hotel investment, real estate development, asset management or related sectors.
* Proven track record in hotel development, management agreement negotiations or hospitality investment transactions.
* Strong network within the hotel ownership, real estate development and investment communities in China.
* Experience in resort development, integrated resorts or mixed-use hospitality projects is highly preferred.
* Strong commercial acumen, financial literacy and negotiation skills.
* Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
* Fluent Mandarin and English communication skills.
* Willingness to travel as required.
