Our client, a leading hotel chain in the world is currently looking for The Senior Director, Operations – South East Asia.
This is a senior corporate leadership role responsible for spearheading operational excellence and fostering owner relations across our exciting portfolio of hotels in the vibrant markets of South East Asia.
Responsibilities
As the Senior Director, Operations – South East Asia, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards
Leadership
Effectively communicate, engage, and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, representing the company and keeping them well-informed about a wide range of business matters and opportunities
Build strong win-win relations within the organization and with the owners
Act as a liaison, adeptly managing relationships between hotels, corporate and regional teams, owners, and other external stakeholders
Create an inclusive, great place to work for all
Drive team member career development and create a strong talent pipeline
Coach and mentor General Managers (GMs) and hotel leadership teams to grow and expand their own skill set and competencies and to inspire and motivate their teams
Position yourself as a supportive resource and role model, aiding hotels in creating exceptional work and stay experiences
Develop and drive a strategic road map covering all business aspects for the portfolio within the remit
Identify and execute and/or support strategic projects and initiatives to meet business objectives
Assist the VP Operations & Regional Head SEA with wider business projects and initiatives, industry and media events
Manage conflict and resolve disputes equitably and in a productive way in accordance with the company's values
Drive the company’s ESG agenda and promote the company's presence in communities through ‘Travel with Purpose’ initiatives
What are we looking for?
Successful track record in hotel operations or functions
Senior leadership experience; preferably 5 years or more
Hotel general management experience and ideally above property multi-unit responsibility
Proven ability to recruit, motivate, and retain a team of high-achieving professionals
A creative and strategic thinker who can identify new avenues of growth to improve business performance
Ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment with experience in a highly matrixed organization
Ability to build an excellent network and strong business relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills
