Our client, a luxury international hotel in Shanghai is currently looking for Executive Chef.
Duties
Be in charge of leading the culinary division to ensure full operational efficiency, driving of quality standards, while providing a high level of staff engagement and personal management
Create and develop menus and recipes for regular rotation with the culinary leaders in each outlet
Build collaborative relationships with suppliers to provide/ achieve the best price and quality when purchasing foods and products
Maintain the highest standard of food quality and sanitation standards
Ensure the ultimate guest experience across all outlets and food service within the hotel and for external catering requirements
Drive high standards with food preparation to increase the profitability of the hotel, reduce waste and maximize sustainable sources
Enforce the implementation of the Shangri-La food safety program throughout the entire division and uphold all other accrdited Food Standard programs
Responsibilities:
Has a natural passion for Food & Beverage
Ability to think outside of the box
Excellent track record of high performance culinary management and organizational skills
A strong communicator able to activate plans and lead a team to success
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a luxury background (hotel/group) with multiple outlets and experience of large Banquet operations
Must enjoy interacting with people both staff and guests, be comfortable to engage stakeholders across the organization
Detail-minded, a strong level of creativity, able to both drive and lead change, ability to think on their feet
Always aware of the latest market trends and industry updates, strong contacts within the local and international market
Must be a friendly, helpful and trustworthy leader with a caring approach to developing talent
