Overview:
  • A prominent luxury hotel in Shanghai is currently looking for an experienced Director of Food & Beverage to lead its dynamic and diverse F&B operations. The ideal candidate will bring solid leadership experience within high-end hotel environments, 
  • ideally with prior exposure to the China market. While Mandarin is not required, cultural adaptability and strong people management skills are critical to succeed in this complex and highly demanding market.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all F&B outlets including Western dining, Chinese restaurant, and a large-scale, stable banquet operation
  • Drive F&B profitability, service excellence, and guest satisfaction across all venues
  • Partner with the Executive Chef and outlet managers to ensure consistent quality and innovation
  • Analyze financial reports, set revenue targets, and manage operating costs
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing, multicultural F&B team
  • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s luxury positioning

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven track record as F&B Director in luxury hotels or integrated resorts
  • China experience strongly preferred; familiarity with Shanghai's complex labor and service environment is a plus
  • Strong leadership, team development, and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Solid understanding of Western dining; banquet experience essential; Chinese dining experience is a bonus
  • Results-driven, guest-oriented, with a hands-on and adaptable management style

Additional Notes:

  • The Chinese restaurant requires attention and uplift; Western outlets are the main revenue drivers
  • The banquet operation is highly stable and well-established
  • Housing allowance and other benefits to be confirmed with the Managing Director
